I take pictures as a means of self expression and things I enjoy to do or look at. Whether it's nature or people of certain color schemes. I also use it to capture memories I want to cherish. Those pictures I typically don't edit just to keep the raw look and emotion that is captured in the moment.

Motion and Portraits

Motion has always been something that grabbed my attention. Especially simple movements like walking or shaking one's head. It's a motion we do on a daily basis but can be turned into art and made into something genuinely beautiful. Portraits are also something that I love to photograph. Being able to capture every detail of someone's face that makes them unique is something that I find really pretty and aesthetic.

Black and White

Black and white, even when done in Photoshop, makes the picture look raw. It enhances the color layers, shades, shadows, and highlights. By having all in grey, whites, and blacks, it focuses less on the color but what is actually present in the picture (the subject). It also gives the picture a "vintage" aesthetic which I always gravitated towards. Although some may say that black and white can be plain, I think the strict color palette allows the subject to stand out more as the focus.

Winter

Winter. It's not only a season but a feeling. When most think of winter they think about the holidays and the pretty decorations and get excited about the holiday spirit. I captured photos of a friend of mine and his girlfriend in a small town that was decorated for Christmas. The decorations give the audience the excitement of the holidays and as the photographer taking them, it got me excited for the holidays which is something I enjoy about photography. How the subject of what your photographing can make you feel which can be reflected in how I take the photo or edit the photo.
